Eze Eclipse: Unveiling Powerful New Enhancements

Last year, we continued to expand and invest in our industry-leading service organization and dedicated over USD 110M to research and development efforts across SS&C’s wealth and investment technology solutions, including Eze Eclipse.  

Since its launch in 2018, SS&C’s Eze Eclipse has maintained steady growth, with 1-2 new firms going live on the system each week. In 2023, over 75 firms implemented Eclipse, 15 more than the previous yearly high. 

Each week, these users receive an average of 75 product deployments and updates that keep them operating with the latest and greatest cloud technology on the market. 

These deployments are part of Eclipse’s product roadmap, which is developed based on the needs of our users and the trends our experts see and anticipate in ever-evolving markets.

 Other asset class enhancements include:

• Improved swap management with a batch reset feature that saves users time and mitigates errors. 
• End-to-end support for managing Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) and Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). 

Trading  

• Firms now have even more ways to simplify trading workflows and create efficiencies for their businesses. A few top trading enhancements include: 

• • Users can filter their blotter from a single screen, which streamlines trading 
  • Increased flexibility in grouping, sorting, and filtering the blotter to create a customized user experience  
  • Ability to use leverage ratios during order creation 
  • Save time with the option to apply FX rates for Swaps via Done-for-Days automatically 

Mobile Functionality  

• Expanded mobile capabilities help users run their businesses from anywhere on virtually any device with the Eze app: 

• • Now available for Apple and Android tablets  
  • Dark mode setting improves usability and visual ergonomics  
  • Configurable swipe actions and electronic order and route management capabilities join the tap-to-trade functionality  

 Interoperability 

• An expanded menu of integrated solutions from Eze Marketplace bolsters capabilities around AI, risk management, TCA, reporting, market intelligence, data analytics, trade surveillance, liquidity, and much more.  
• Eclipse can now be modularized and used as a standalone OMS that growing firms can use to meet front-office needs now and scale with the operation when the time is right. 
  

Compliance 

• In addition to more than 60 new pre-built compliance rule templates, users can create compliance rules that will account for restricted symbol lists when running against equity baskets without having to update current rules.

Throughout the rest of 2024 (and beyond), we'll continue to focus on product development initiatives that mean the most to our users, including continued expansion of asset class coverage, new ways to save time, a more 360-degree Eclipse experience, stronger mobile app functionality, and more ways to create a customized investment technology ecosystem.
