How Investment Managers and the Technology Supporting Them Adapt Under Pressure

Following SS&C Eze’s success at the Hedgeweek European Awards 2021, where our cloud-native investment solution, Eze Eclipse, was named “Best Cloud-Based Technology,” and Eze Portfolio Management & Accounting was bestowed the title “Best Portfolio Management System” for the second year running, Justin Sycamore, SS&C Eze’s Director of Sales, EMEA, sat down with Hedgeweek to discuss how the complex and uncertain market conditions experienced in the past year have put pressure on technology vendors to adapt and how we have risen to the occasion.

“We’re proud of how quickly we’ve been able to respond to recent market changes in EMEA and globally,” said Sycamore. “Throughout 2020, we’ve helped clients successfully transition to remote operations, implement new investment strategies, and launch new funds. All while enhancing our products and building out more flexible features to simplify daily workflows.”

When asked about the challenges investment managers are facing, Sycamore explained that in addition to the complexities of the pandemic, fund managers are grappling with heightened cybersecurity and risk management concerns from remote working, a challenging fundraising environment, complex investor demands, and a need to do more with less.
